Keep strip text short

Use stable room, rack, switch, or jack codes on the physical strip instead of full descriptions that become unreadable.

Preserve full endpoints

The handoff CSV can retain the complete destination and remote-port values even when the printed strip uses compact names.

Check both ends

Matching A/B cable labels make a dense panel easier to trace without relying on the strip alone.

A practical 48-port workflow

  1. Choose the 48-port preset and select the panel you want to preview.
  2. Import all rows, including Panel values when the job contains multiple panels.
  3. Review ports 1 and 48 to catch numbering or range errors.
  4. Shorten physical-label names while retaining useful detail in the schedule.
  5. Measure pitch, create a calibration sheet, and test at 100% scale.
  6. Open the exported PDF/SVG/CSV and confirm the contents before use.
